Hollis & Pike supports specialist environment projects from dedicated air handling and close-control equipment through airflow control, monitoring and commissioning support.
Specialist spaces are defined by tolerances rather than comfort. The right approach starts from the process or product requirement, sets conditions, pressure cascades and filtration zone by zone, and plans the monitoring and commissioning needed to demonstrate those conditions are being met.
ENGINEERING CONSIDERATIONS

Tight control bands need sensors of suitable accuracy and plant that can humidify and dehumidify independently of the cooling demand.

Cleanrooms and laboratories use pressure differences between spaces to set the direction of air movement, held by airflow tracking as doors open and filters load.

Cleanrooms are classified by airborne particle concentration under ISO 14644-1, and the required class drives filtration, air change rates and airflow patterns.

Fume cupboards and local exhaust points change the extract volume, so supply air must track them, and discharges need to disperse safely away from air intakes.

Where a failure could compromise research, stock or production, plant needs standby capacity, alarms and a defined response when conditions drift.

Continuous logging of temperature, humidity and pressure supports validation, audits and early fault detection.
